How an inferior complex hinders weight loss

How an inferior complex hinders weight loss

No one can make you feel inferior without your consent but try telling that to someone who is being

constantly put down and made to feel that they are less valuable than others.

It is often those people in authority to us which are mostly to blame for the emotional damage which

they inflict on others. This could be at home, at school, or at work.

Those at the receiving end of this type of abuse will need to deal with it all because if they don’t all

efforts of self-improvement will end in failure.

A person with low self-esteem is less likely to take care of themselves and sometimes get involved in

unhealthy habits such as eating junk foods, taking drugs, or drinking alcohol.

These things are no substitute for real friends.

A pastor once said, “A girl will date their self-esteem,” in other words, she will set lower standards than

someone who has a higher self esteem.

What are the contributing factors to low self esteem?

1. Being constantly put down

2. Unfair comparisons with others

3. Being dominated by someone

4. Constant criticism

5. physical defection

6. Constant name calling

7. Labelling

Make no bones about it, people can be cruel, and it is this lack of empathy for other human beings

which causes others to cause emotional harm to others.

Have you ever noticed that some people like an audience when they belittle others. It makes them feel

important and it is a way for them to build up their own self esteem.

It says a lot more about perpetrators of bullying than it says about you.

What are some solutions?

If this bullying occurs at work, you can find another job, but this is not an option for some people who

find it difficult to gain alternative employment.

Spending more time with those you get along with will help make your employment more palatable and

this applies to any bullying situation, wherever it occurs.

Emotional health is just as important as physical health because unless you are in the right frame of mind you are not going to pay enough attention to your physical health and dietary needs.

Steps to take:

Changing your mental attitude to some of the causes of self-esteem can help. If you have what you

believe is a physical defection then your attitude could be, “This is the body I have been given, It is

not

going to define me.”

Set your own personal goals and celebrate the success of others. You are on your own journey and others

may be several steps above you on that same journey.

It is important to accept what you cannot change and change what you are unwilling to accept.

All of the best for your journey.
